Issuance of a Letter to Chief Cabinet Secretary on Results of the Survey on Retirement Benefits in the Private Sector and the NPA View on a New Pension Plan for National Public Employees

Upon a request based on the Cabinet decision made at the end of April 2007, the NPA consolidated results of a fact-finding survey on corporate pension plans and retirement allowances (retirement benefits) of private enterprises and a survey on public employee pension plans in major countries. The NPA also consolidated a view on basic matters related to a new system as an alternative to the occupational portion (so-called the 3rd floor portion) of the National Public Service Mutual Aid Pension. The NPA issued a letter on these matters to the Chief Cabinet Secretary on November 16, 2006.
